Coppergate School of the Arts  supports our military connected students and families.

Our Military and Family Life Counselor, (MFLC) is Ms. Donna Musselwhite. Ms. Musselwhite has been a military connected family member her entire life as well as a licensed mental health counselor for 33 years.

The MFLC program is designed to provide additional support to our military connected students by addressing the unique lifestyle of our military families.

Benefits to our students include easing transitions, meeting other military children who share similar circumstances, learning coping skills, and support through deployments and moving. Activities include Lunch Bunch groups, Veteran’s Day breakfast, Purple Up for Military Students in April, the month of the military child, Yellow Ribbon Ceremonies for deployments, and Deployment Groups. We also offer the Anchored 4 Life Club, a student - led transition program to assist military students coming into the school, moving away, deploying and reconnecting after deployment.

In addition to the services of the MFLC, Coppergate also has an onsite licensed mental health counselor, school counselor and school social worker, available to both military and non military students.
