Coppergate Elementary School

Military Families

Coppergate School of the Arts  supports our military connected students and families.

Our Military and Family Life Counselor, (MFLC) is Ms. Donna Musselwhite. Ms. Musselwhite has been a military parent and military connected family member for over 35 years and a licensed counselor for 32 years.

The MFLC program is designed to provide additional support to our military connected students by addressing the unique lifestyle of our military families.

Benefits to our students include easing transitions, meeting other military children who share similar circumstances, learning coping skills, and support through deployments and moving.   Activities include Lunch Bunch groups, Veteran’s Day breakfast, Purple Up for Military Students in April, the month of the military child, Yellow Ribbon Ceremonies for deployments, and Deployment Groups.
